ToolPilot is an independent tutorial site focused on AI automation tools: n8n, Make, Zapier, MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, and AI agents.
How we work
Every tutorial on this site follows one rule: we do it before we write it.
- We install the software on real machines (usually an Ubuntu VPS, just like yours).
- We click through every step, copy real commands, and keep the real output — including the errors.
- We re-test popular guides when tools release major updates, and we mark the tested version at the top of each article.
We don’t rewrite documentation and call it a tutorial. If a step can fail, we show you what the failure looks like and how to fix it.
Editorial policy
- Tutorials are written for practitioners: developers, operators, and small-business owners automating real work.
- We don’t publish “what is X” filler. Every article must teach you to do something.
- When we compare tools, we disclose our testing method and update pricing data at least once a year.
- Some outbound links may be affiliate links. They never affect our conclusions, and we’ll always tell you when a free or self-hosted alternative exists.
